Benin's independence: parade, official ceremonies and family returns, over a busy week in Cotonou.
1 August marks Benin's independence. The week draws diaspora families and official delegations; accommodation fills up, especially whole homes that can host several generations.
Our four-to-eight-person homes are the first to be asked for in that period. Fortnightly and monthly rates are often better value than adding up nights.
