Concierge

Hotels in Cotonou: skip the hassle, book through us.

A big hotel on the Marina or a smaller address: tell us what you are looking for, we choose with you, book, and organise everything around the stay. You settle the hotel's bill. As a concierge, we charge a service fee, always announced before we book.

How it works

  1. 1

You tell us your dates, your budget and what matters: the sea, a pool, a meeting room, the airport close by.

  2. 2

We suggest the right hotel, check availability and book it for you.

  3. 3

We arrange the rest: airport transfer, driver, tables, outings. You settle the hotel's bill, plus our concierge fee, announced in advance.

  • The airport transfer
  • A driver by the day
  • Tables and the good addresses of Cotonou
  • Outings: Ouidah, Ganvié, Abomey, with driver and guide
  • Groceries and a private chef
  • One contact, in French or English
  • A furnished home if you stay longer

Our fee

We take our share, openly.

You pay the hotel's bill at the hotel's rate. Our concierge fee comes on top: it pays for the search, the booking and the organisation of the whole stay, and you get it in writing before we book. Then you decide.

Several nights, with family or a group?

A furnished home often costs less than a hotel after a few nights, with a kitchen and more space. Ours are run by our own team: prepared before arrival, keys handed over in person, a number that answers at night.

Frequently asked

Why book a Cotonou hotel through a concierge?
So you have a single contact, in English or French, for the whole stay. We choose the hotel with you, check availability and book, then arrange your airport transfer, a driver, restaurant tables and outings. You settle the hotel bill; our concierge fee is announced beforehand.
How much is your concierge fee?
It depends on what you hand over to us: a single booking, or the whole stay with transfers and a driver. We give you the fee in writing before booking, and you decide.
Is the room cheaper if I book through you?
The room is charged at the hotel's own rate at the time of booking. We do not promise lower prices: our job is to save you the legwork and to organise everything around your stay.
Which hotels are close to Cotonou airport?
The Golden Tulip Le Diplomate is about two kilometres from the airport and the Sofitel a few minutes away. The Novotel, the ibis and Maison Rouge are also on the boulevard de la Marina, on the airport side.
Can you book for a group or a delegation?
Yes: several rooms in the same hotel, or part of the group at the hotel and the rest in our homes, with transfers arranged for everyone.
Which hotel should I choose in Cotonou for a business trip?
For a conference or meetings around the Marina, the Sofitel and the Novotel have large meeting rooms (for up to 1,000 and 300 people); the Golden Tulip Le Diplomate is the closest to the airport. For an assignment lasting several weeks, an apartment at The Livingstone or one of our furnished homes often works out cheaper.
Where should I stay in Ouidah during the Vodun Days?
Rooms go early in January. Native Hotels, in the historic quarter, Casa del Papa, at Ouidah Plage, and Natura Luxury Lodge, a three-bedroom house on the route des Pêches, are the addresses we suggest; many visitors also stay in Cotonou and make the drive, about forty minutes, with a driver.
What are the finest restaurants in Cotonou?
For a special occasion: L'Ami, the Sofitel's fine-dining restaurant, with a menu by Michelin-starred chef Georgiana Viou; La Villa Livingstone in Patte d'Oie; Les Trois Mousquetaires in Ganhi; or the Corniche, in the open air facing the sea. For your feet in the sand, La Cabane du Pêcheur on the route des Pêches, and Bab's Dock at weekends, which you reach by boat. For the view, the rooftops of Cadjèhoun and near the airport. Tell us the occasion and we will book the table.
Can you book a table for a birthday?
Yes. We book the table, let the restaurant know about the occasion and arrange the journey there and back. For a cake, flowers or a surprise, tell us in advance: we will take care of it, with a quote first.
Where can I hold a waterside reception in Cotonou?
The terrace of the Hôtel du Lac, in Akpakpa, takes up to 500 guests, and its function rooms hold from 15 to 300 people. We handle the enquiry, the quote and the arrangements around it: transfers, rooms for your guests, and whatever the party needs.

Léna Escapes is neither affiliated with these hotels and restaurants nor their agent: we name them to help you choose. Rates and availability are each venue's own at the time of booking; our concierge fee comes on top and is announced beforehand.
