From Accra · Ghana
Accra to Cotonou.
Three hundred and fifty kilometres of coast, two borders and a city that lives in French: Cotonou is the biggest change of scene you can get from Accra without flying.
The journey
By road, allow five to eight hours depending on the hour and the wait at the borders — Aflao to enter Togo, Hillacondji to enter Benin. Coach companies run the route day and night. By air the flight is short, and Cadjèhoun is fifteen minutes from our homes.
The visa
ECOWAS citizens: no visa for Benin. Other nationalities apply for the electronic visa.
The money
Benin and Togo use the CFA franc (XOF), Ghana the cedi: change before leaving or at the border. Our rates are published in FCFA, and we accept Mobile Money, card and bank transfer.
Hotel or furnished home?
You cross two countries: arriving at a home that is ready, with someone waiting and a number that answers, changes the end of the journey. And for two or more it costs less than an equivalent hotel room.
