The country is visited from Cotonou: Ouidah forty minutes away, Ganvié half a day, Abomey two hours. Keep the same home and travel out from it, with a driver and a guide arranged by the concierge.

- Yes, outside ECOWAS. Benin issues an electronic visa, applied for online before departure: it is quick and there is no embassy visit. Bring your yellow-fever vaccination card too, it is checked on arrival.

- Yes, the concierge answers in English as readily as in French, around the clock, by phone and on WhatsApp.
