Every 10 January, a national holiday
The national holiday devoted to traditional religions, celebrated across Benin and followed closely in Ouidah.
10 January has been a public holiday in Benin since 1997. Ceremonies are held across the country, with a particular concentration in Ouidah, right after Vodun Days.
Because it falls in the same week as Vodun Days, stays are booked together: most of our travellers take a home from 2 to 12 January.
